Múkami Kinoti Kimotho is Vice President and Senior Consultant, Global Diversity Strategies, responsible for developing and implementing best-in-class diversity programs, cultural competency tools, resources and a communications platform that identifies the Bank of New York Mellon to external stakeholders and successfully engages our diverse and global workforce.
Múkami joined the Company in November 2003 as Pennsylvania Regional Recruiting Manager responsible for talent acquisition activities for the Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and west-coast markets.
Prior to her tenure at BNY Mellon, she held a variety of leadership positions including being External Relations & Human Capital Manager for John Snow Inc. where she was responsible for development and implementation of human resource management, organizational effectiveness and knowledge management strategies on behalf of a consortium of multi-national clients including the United States Agency for International Development – USAID.
Múkami has a wealth of experience in global media communications and the performing arts including broadcast journalism, film, and presentational speaking. She is Founder and President of mawAzoMEDIA – a voice for globally and socially relevant perspectives. Complementing her contributions within the corporate arena, she is committed to serving the communities within which she lives and works and has been actively engaged with non-profit boards and in a variety of media and performing arts capacities.
Múkami received a master of Applied Communications and Organizational Development degree from the University of Denver, and a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, from the United States International University, San Diego, California.
